How long before my wedding date should I buy my dress?

When it comes to wedding dress shopping, there is no right or wrong answer as to when to start. Some people start right after getting engaged, while others prefer to wait. However, based on our experience, it's best to start looking for a dress 12 to 18 months before the wedding day. If you plan to order a made-to-order dress, note that it can take up to 8 months for the gown to be made and delivered, and alterations can take an additional 2 months.

At So Gorgeous our in-store sample gowns range from a UK size 8 to 26- However if the sample gown is a bit too big or too small we have a few ways to show you how the dress would look in your size. Do I need to wear anything specific to my appointment?

We recommend wearing neutral-colored underwear or shape-wear during your appointment to ensure the best foundation before trying on wedding dresses. While bras are not typically worn with wedding dresses, we do have bust cups to provide additional support. However, we prioritize your comfort and encourage you to wear whatever undergarments make you feel confident and at ease during your appointment.

How do I pay for my dress?

If you have said yes to your dream dress from our made to order collection, a 50% deposit is paid when you order the dress, and then the remaining 50% is paid when the dress arrives at the boutique.

If you've chosen an off peg dress full payment is required when saying yes to the dress.

Please note that because the dresses are made to order we can't accept refunds of exchanges.
